Relive medieval times in Den Bosch. The fortified city is part of the Zuiderwaterlinie, a unique chain of 11 fortified towns and their surroundings in the province of Brabant. As provincial capital, Den Bosch’ medieval city center is a vibrant place filled with picturesque old streets, shops, cafes, and restaurants. The city is the birthplace of Hieronymus Bosch, a famous painter from the Renaissance. It has many interesting sites, such as the beautiful Gothic St. John’s Cathedral. As well as the unique tunnel canals of the ‘Binnendieze’. On the Markt (market square) in Den Bosch you will find the oldest brick house in the Netherlands: the Moriaan, which origins from the 13th century.
